By car...
From the relief road (A39): head toward signs for 'Hotels
& Deliveries' which will bring you into New Street. At the mini roundabout,
turn left towards 'The Horringtons' into a road called The Liberty. Follow this
road round to the pedestrian crossing. The Fountain's car park is the bend on
your right, The Fountain Inn, opposite.
From Shepton Mallet (A371): follow the signs for Wells, through Croscombe Village. Approximately 2 miles past Croscombe, take the turning on the right for Dulcote. Drive through Dulcote village and out the other side past fields and views of the Cathedral on your left and woods on your right. As this road becomes residential Tor Street, you will see The Fountain Inn in front of you. The car park is a sharp left on the corner.
From Bath Road (B3139): follow the road all the way
down until it turns into St. Thomas Street. The Fountain Inn is at the very
bottom of St. Thomas Street, with the car park opposite (sharp left to enter).
On foot from Wells City
Centre...
Head toward Wells Cathedral. Walk around the back of the
Cathedral down St. Andrew Street and under the Chain Gate. Vicar's Close is on
your left. At the end of St. Andrew Street, cross over at the pedestrian
crossing. The Fountain is along on your left.
