Anton's Bistrot is named after a local well-known cartoonist whose work
regularly appeared in Punch magazine.
Some of Anton's original drawings are on the walls of our restaurant, bar and
lounge. There is more information about
the artist above the fireplace in the lounge.
We serve food all day, every day in Anton's Bistrot and lounge. Choose from an excellent variety of mouth-watering dishes, extremely tempting desserts, complimented by our interesting wine list.
Our special Les Routiers menu changes regularly and is available from 12.00 noon
every lunchtime and between 6pm and 7pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Our head chef Nick
Hampson started his career as a kitchen assistant at the
Michelin-rated Ritcher’s Restaurant in Wells, Somerset. He combined
his role at Ritcher’s with training at Weston College, winning trainee
Chef of the Year in 2000. He graduated to chef de partie by the time
he left Ritcher’s in 2001 to travel.
Nick worked for two
years in a number of prestigious restaurants in both Sydney and
Melbourne, Australia, before returning to Wells in 2004 to join The
Crown at Wells & Anton’s Bistrot.
Nick is passionate
about food and his ethos is to source good, local produce, wherever
possible, to provide diners with a fabulous meal at a reasonable
price.
All
our dishes are cooked fresh to order, so please allow some time for
your dish to be prepared. |
