Sterling Silver Service At The Fountain

Adrian and Sarah Lawrence are celebrating 25 years as licensees of The Fountain Inn & Boxer’s Restaurant.

They have worked hard to build up the reputation for serving superb quality food and an excellent choice of wine that it still enjoys today. Over the years the pub has won many accolades including an AA Rosette, Les Routiers Casserole Award and highly commended regional winner of the Spanish Wine Lists Competition.

More recently The Fountain has been awarded the ‘AA Pick of the Pubs’ in the past four editions of the prestigious pub restaurant guide. The Fountain also got through to the finals of the Punch Taverns Shine Awards for Best Pub Food Operation.

Head chef Julie Pearce joined The Fountain in November 1993. She is passionate about using the finest local produce to create a tremendous selection of delicious home-cooked dishes, available to diners in both the bar and restaurant. She draws on her extensive experience to offer a choice of vegetarian meals, with vegan dishes prepared on request. A healthy children’s menu is available, with most of the main course dishes offered in child-friendly sized portions.

The Fountain has recently introduced an Over 60’s Club and, along with monthly Curry Nights and regular themed weeks in line with the feedback we’ve received from diners.

In the past month the façade of the building has been revived with new signage, fresh coat of paint and general tidy up.

If you haven’t tried The Fountain recently, do. They have just introduced a new menu and you are assured of a great meal at a fair price.
